March 23, 2004Sharks 5, Red Wings 2i schlepped off to the sharks game tonight and watched them down the redwings 5-2. despite the score, detroit really carried the play, but san jose scored 5 goals on just 20 shots and made legace look like he belongs back in the minors. nabokov on the other hand stood on his head and kicked aside 37 of 39. again, i took a few pictures; however, my camera batteries flaked out so there really are just a few. they managed to let me take two more shots at the end and that was it. that's what i get for not putting in fresh ones. then again, i had 2 pretty tall people in front of me, so it was hard to get a good view with the camera, so perhaps it was for the best. the game had vincent damphousse's 1,200th nhl point tying him with good ole dino ciccarelli for 38th on the all-time list. jason marshall got his first point as a shark, and the team clinched a playoff spot plus moved into a tie for 2nd seed in the conference with the av's.
