experience is what you get when you didn't get what you wanted.

it has been quite some time since i watched the Randy Pausch's last lecture. i recall seeing it in an rss feed, the intro caught my attention, and i remember thinking -- i can learn something from this. now i wish i could say that i took some of his thoughts, made them my own and life became the proverbial bowl of cherries, but that would be a fantasy. so i watched it again today. there is a lot that can be learned from what he shared. if you haven't seen it, take an hour and watch.
