Face Recognition

over on ernie's mini-blog there was a link for face recognition^*. his results proved... um... very inaccurate (his words, not mine). of course, that didn't keep me from trying it out. after selecting the picture, it pops up in your browser and you have click on your right eye, followed by your left eye. after submitting, it takes a few seconds and then boom, you get your results. imho, my results were no more accurate than ernie. it said i look similar to:

• Noah Wyle
  nice lookin' fella, but we look nothing alike.
• Takeshi Kaneshiro
  who? and no, not even close.
• Enrique Iglessias
  why must i be insulted this way?

interestingly enough, none of them had long hair (i do), none of them were sporting any facial hair (i currently am), and quite simply i see no resemblences at all. none. if they wanted to stroke my ego, they could have at least tossed up a picture of johnny depp as captain jack sparrow or something. geez!

^* i had to use msie to make this work. strike two.
