Mike Jefferson Danton
if you follow hockey at all, by now you have probably heard about the arrest of mike danton. a pdf copy of the complaint is here for those that really want to delve in, but the hoo-haa going around is whether danton was gay and that the person he hired a hitman for was his [male] lover. quite honestly i could care less -- meaning his sexual orientation (to me) has no bearing -- but it sure seems to keep folks interested. a recent thread on a mailing list of san jose sharks fans, one person wrote:
I'm willing to concede that it's POSSIBLE that this was not a gay relationship, but look at the alleged facts here. ...
not to pick on the poster here, but doesn't that just sum things up nicely --
alleged facts. they aren't facts. they aren't allegations. they are alleged facts. maybe i'm just nitpicking the semantics here? i've been known to do that, but this one just cracks me up. i really should post like...

while hitmen don't take credit cards, for everything else there is mastercard. it's where you want to be. allegedly.
and for what it's worth yes, danton is the "mike jefferson" which was mentioned in the robert frost craziness back in the late 90's. the guy has been through a lot... let's allow the authorities to sort this one out without the is-he or isn't-he gay media storm. geez!
