February 14, 2005Decision or Emotionseeing as it is valentines day, it seems pretty apropos to ponder -- what is love? besides being haddaway's one hit of course. the mind hacks blog had a post about it from a science/pschological view as did npr (kqed) in forum with michael krasny this morning [archive of the show]. it's all interesting stuff really (i'm listening to it now). amidst other discussions, it was argued to me that love is a decision one makes that goes along with some initial yet fast fading hormone driven feelings. i disagree.
